[오늘의 생활영어] take (something) up with (someone); (위사람과) 상의하다
(Brett is talking to his father Ryan…) Brett:Dad can I talk something over with you? Ryan: Sure son. What is it? Brett: I don't think the coach is giving me a chance to prove how good I am. Ryan: Why do you think that? Brett: He doesn't pay attention to me when we practice. Ryan: You're probably imagining that. Brett: No I'm not. He doesn't even tell me what I do wrong. I'm not getting much out of practice. 기억할만한 표현 *talk something over with (someone): (누구와) 의논하다. “She talked her future over with her teacher.” *pay attention to (someone or something): 관심을 보이다. “She usually pays attention to what her teacher says.” *get (something) out of (something): “Unfortunately, I got nothing out of class today.”
